What do I need to use WiiM Mini?

How do I set it up the first time?

Open the WiiM Home app and follow the on-screen steps. For iOS devices, you can also use Apple WAC or the Apple Home app to complete setup. Then choose your output (AUX Out / Optical Out).

How do I get bit-perfect digital output?

Use Optical Out, enable Fixed Volume, and disable RoomFit™/EQ/Mono in WiiM Home. Set output sample rate up to 192 kHz/24-bit if your DAC supports it.

Which outputs can I use?

You can use any of the following outputs: • AUX Out → amps, powered speakers, receivers • Optical (SPDIF) Out → external DAC/AVR (up to 192 kHz/24-bit)

Can I stream a turntable or CD player to other rooms?

Yes. Use AUX In and create a WiiM multi-room group in the WiiM Home app. Note: Some turntables need a phono preamp before AUX In.

What does the USB-C port do?

It is a power input (5V). It does not support USB storage or USB audio.

Which streaming methods and services are supported?

AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Amazon Music, and DLNA. Gapless playback and audio output up to 192 kHz/24-bit are supported with compatible sources. Popular services are also available in the WiiM Home app.

How does AirPlay 2 work here?

WiiM Mini acts as an AirPlay 2 receiver—you cast from Apple devices to the WiiM device (receiver role).

Can I use multiple WiiM Mini devices to build a wireless whole-home sound system?

Yes. Create groups in WiiM Home, the Alexa app, or AirPlay 2. Alexa and AirPlay 2 groups carry network streams only. Note: If you want to share AUX In or Bluetooth In across multiple devices, use WiiM multi-room.

Can WiiM devices play in sync with other AirPlay 2 speakers (such as HomePod)?

Yes. Select WiiM Mini and other AirPlay 2 speakers, such as HomePod, in Control Center on iPhone or iPad, or in the Apple Music app on Mac, to play them together in sync. WiiM Mini also supports automatic audio delay calibration through Auto Sync in the WiiM Home app, using its built-in microphone to improve synchronization.

Can I use voice to control WiiM Mini?

Yes. You can control WiiM Mini with Amazon Alexa or Apple Siri through compatible voice-enabled devices, such as an Echo, iPhone, or HomePod.

Can I watch videos on my phone, tablet, or PC and listen to the audio on WiiM Mini?

Yes. Use AirPlay 2 from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, or Bluetooth from a compatible phone, tablet, or PC, to play audio through speakers or a soundbar connected to WiiM Mini.

Which Bluetooth codecs are supported in WiiM Mini?

Bluetooth In supports SBC and AAC. Bluetooth Out supports SBC only.

How do I start Bluetooth pairing quickly?

Press and hold Volume + and Volume – together for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode. You can also initiate it from the WiiM Home app.

Does the app have real EQ and room tools?

Yes—10‑band Parametric EQ, 10‑band Graphic EQ, 24 presets, Per‑source EQ, and RoomFit™ room correction.

How are firmware updates handled?

By default, the device will automatically update within 24 hours when it enters standby mode after new firmware is detected. You can also manually check for updates or disable automatic updates in the WiiM Home app.

What should I do if the app can’t find my device?

1. Check power and LED status. 2. Ensure your phone and WiiM are on the same network. 3. Update the app. 4. Reboot the router, WiiM, and phone. 5. Re-run setup if needed.

What should I check if my WiiM device has no sound?

Check the following: • App/amp volume • Correct input on your amp/receiver • Correct output in WiiM Home (AUX Out vs Optical Out) • Cable seating

What should I do if there is no sound during AirPlay playback but other sources work?

1. Ensure the playback bar is moving in the Apple app. 2. Improve Wi-Fi signal. 3. Power-cycle router/WiiM/phone. 4. Update firmware/software. 5. Restore to factory settings.

How do I factory reset my WiiM device?

Hold the Play/Pause button for 10 seconds until you hear “Restore to factory setting” and the LED flashes white/red.

Open WiiM Home app.
Press the button on your WiiM Mini until the LED is white and blinking.
Enter Settings -> Wi-Fi screen on your iPhone
Select your unit as the AirPlay speaker in the Wi-Fi screen.
Follow the steps in the Wi-Fi screen to set up your device.

Using iOS Home App to set up

Open WiiM Home app.
Press the button on your device until the LED is white and blinking.
Open the Home app and tap Add Accessory or Scan Accessory.
Please tap yellow "More options...?".
Tap your device which MUST be listed under "Select an Accessory to Add to you".
Tap the "Allow" to allow your device to connect with your Wi-Fi network.

Group with another WiiM Mini

Open WiiM Home app.
Select the device and click the plus sign in the upper right corner
Select the other WiiM Mini, and then click "Done".

Group with Echo or other Amazon products

Open the Amazon Alexa app and log into the same Amazon account as the WiiM Home app.
Open Devices .
Select Plus and then select Combine Speakers.
Select Multi-room music.
Follow the instructions in the app to complete the setup.

Open WiiM Home App.
Group two or more WiiM Mini together.
Click the button to choose the device channel to "L/R/LR"
